Beaches
Famous for its pristine white sands and never ending landscapes, Port Stephens has plenty of options when it comes to beaches.

Dolphin & Whale Watching
One of the highlights of Port Stephens is the magnificent dolphin and/or whale watching cruises. The majority of the cruises depart from Nelson Bay. You’re pretty much guaranteed to see the local pod of dolphins – up close and personal.
Quad Biking
If adventure and adrenaline is more what you’re after then take a look at the quad biking tours. The Quad Bike King offers discounts to guests staying at One Mile Haven. Just take your booking confirmation along to them with some identification, and they’ll give you a discount.
4WD the dunes
If you’d prefer to go four wheel driving (but don’t have a 4WD), then contact Port Stephens 4WD – they also offer a discount to guests staying at One Mile Haven. They run a great ‘sand boarding’ tour – they’ll take you out on a 4WD day, give you some background info and then provide boards so that you can sand board down the dunes – it’s a lot of fun.
Camel & Horse Rides
Why not do something a little different and enjoy and Camel ride along the beach at sunset? The camel rides leave from right near Birubi Beach.
Or join a Sahara Horse Riding for one of their famous scenic trail rides. With a range of trails to suit all riding abilities you’re sure to have a good time. Horse riding for the whole family, couples, singles you name it, they cater for it!
Surf School
Sick of the same old? Take the opportunity to learn a new skill with Port Stephens Surf School. But beware, you may have to share the waves with some bottle nose dolphins!
FOOD & DRINK
The Crest (Birubi Beach)
The Crest café boasts a picture perfect view, clear turquoise water and an endless sandy beach. You will struggle you to find a more stunning location in Port Stephens than Crest. The sun soaked outdoor area, bright coloured furnishings and a modern menu that is all about simple fresh food makes for a relaxed dining experience.
Murray's Brewery
Murray and the team have been brewing unique and off-beat naturally crafted beers since 2006, and in the process have won a bunch of awards and accolades – including Australia’s Brewer of the Year.
Grab a pub feed or a craft beer and sit on the grass as the sun sinks into the sky.
The Boat House (Little Beach)
Situated right on the water overlooking Little Beach, Nelson Bay The Little Beach Boat House offers truly spectacular views.
The menu is fresh modern Australian cuisine and all their food is cooked with local produce.
